Reception night on March 13th

Place: ISTB-4 on the 1st floor
We would like to welcome participants on Tuesday afternoon at with snacks and something to drink. This will be a chance to sign in early and get your name tag and goodie bag before the workshop starts on Wednesday morning. At 7-8pm you are also invited to a 3D show in the Marston theater in the same building.
Location for talks and break-out sessions
Wednesday and Friday: ISTB-4 room 240 on the 2nd floor. Break-out sessions on the "crater carpet" on 3rd floor, or outside!
Thursday: Morning talks in Goldwater building room 487 on 4th floor, afternoon talks in Goldwater building room 505 on the 5th floor. Break-out sessions in rooms 595 and 579 on the same floor, or outside!

Optional weekend activities
For those that stay for the weekend, Phoenix and its surroundings have a lot to offer!

- Geographically, Phoenix is surrounded by more than 41,000 acres of desert parks and mountain preserves, and more than 200 miles of trails, and the weather in March will be ideal for outdoor activities.
- Historically, Phoenix is located in the midst of many native american historical sites.
- visit to the Heard Museum: Art and culture of the Native peoples of the Americas.
- visit to the Desert Botanical Garden.
- for people into baseball, there will be lots of Spring Training events.
- hike nearby trails, such as the Hieroglyphic Trail, the Camelback Mountain Climb, the Flat Iron hike and many others.
- visit to the Montezuma Castle National Monument.
- visit Biosphere 2.
- visit the meteor crater.
